ABOUT DOF

Depth Of Field (DOF) is specialised in authentic historical and fine art photography. We offer remarkable - and exclusively verified original -  prints in genres that vary from the beginning of photography, to family albums, and from landscapes to advertising.

We look for uniqueness. Photographic quality is a must, but we are particularly triggered by the stories behind the pictures. We hope to broaden the viewer’s perspective of photography, while providing the expertise to understand it.
 
We are active buyers and sellers of prints. Our extensive expertise in buying and selling is appreciated by clients that seek tailored support in appraisals and clients seeking support on starting or growing personal collections (contact us).

SHIPPING POLICY

We like to make sure each object is absolutely perfect. This means orders can take 2-4 weeks to get to you while any required framing is done. The object is then checked and is given the seal of approval. Once securely packaged, we attach your shipping labels and any necessary customs documents. Please remember to take extra care when opening the packaging and unwrapping your package. Shipping costs depend on the size, weight and destination of your piece. Shipping costs are calculated prior to checkout and included in the total cost of your order with no additional charges beyond the cost of delivery. All orders are shipped using our selected premium carriers. We ship internationally using selected global carriers. Please be aware that international orders may be subject to the relevant customs duties of the destination country. Customs fees should be paid upon arrival and are in addition to shipping and handling costs. Unfortunately as customs charges are governmental taxes we cannot discount or reimburse you for these costs.

RETURN POLICY

All requests for cancellations or changes must be made within 24 hours of placing your order. You can get in touch with us directly via email info@dof.amsterdam Once your object has arrived, you have 14 days to let us know if you're not 100% happy with it and would like a refund. We are only able to process refunds for objects returned in perfect condition and in their original packaging, with accompanying documentation enclosed. Products may only returned to us by registered mail. Once we have safely received the artwork we will process your refund. Refunds for returned goods will be made within 14 days of their arrival to our warehouse. All refunds will be issued to the original payment method, and can take 5-10 days to appear in your account. DOF will not refund any VAT or import charges. In some cases, you may be able to reclaim these costs from your local tax authorities. If your artwork arrives and doesn’t meet your expectations, or if you receive an incorrect shipment, please contact us via info@dof.amsterdam as soon as is reasonably possible. In such cases, you will have 14 days to notify us about the problem. Where appropriate we will be happy to arrange a refund, repair or replacement. Please note that you will not be eligible to claim under this clause if you were made aware of the reason for your claim prior to purchase.
